Eat to fuel
We all love to eat, but we don't like to be restricted by a 'diet'... For most, that word is a danger word- we immediately associate the word 'diet' with the people you see on TV that eat very specific healthy foods, no sugar, no junk, no comfort foods, no meat, etc etc... Actually, if you think about it, a 'diet' is way more than that. A diet is ANYTHING you  consume. You are already on a diet, it just might not be a healthy diet..
Don't eat mindlessly. When you put something in your body, whether its a drink, a snack, a meal, a vitamin, medicine, be conscious of how that food affects your body. If you feel Bleh after eating something, that is your body telling you it is not benefiting from what you're consuming. Don't get me wrong, cookies are an essential part of my diet, but I balance it out (80/20 rule works amazing for this!)... Processed foods of any kind are no bueno, and have negative affects on your mind and body. I'm sure you already know what kind of foods I'm talking about, cause you can feel it when you eat something that's not good for you.
Fuel your body with what you consume. Make sure you are getting the necessary nutrients for your body type; everyone is different, there is no 'one right diet', it is different for everyone! Pay attention to how your body feels after you eat, and don't eat things that you know make you feel tired, sick, exhausted, heavy, bleh, etc.. Eat foods that make you feel energized, awake, satisfied, and aren't too heavy on your stomach. What you consume affects every aspect of your day, so make it count!

Yoga
When it comes to exercise....  Sometimes its hard to find motivation, or a system that works for you. When you're doing yoga, not only does it positively affect your body, but your mind and soul as well. There are many types of yoga practice/studies, so no matter what level you are at physically, you are still able to enjoy your practice. Doing yoga is very beneficial for many aspects of your life. Physically, it helps your strength, flexibility, joint problems, relieving chronic pain, and so much more. Mentally, it gives your mind a break, especially if you do meditation yoga. Yoga also calms the nervous system, which calms any anxiety you may have, helps fight depression, and sharpens your concentration. For most, yoga is a lifestyle, but it can also be used simply as an exercise style. There is an endless array of yoga you can do, so give it a shot and feel the results :)
